Step 1: Tear Your Envelope Into Pieces
Tear your seed paper envelope into smaller pieces. This helps the seeds spread out and gives them the best chance to grow.
Step 2: Wet the Paper
Lightly wet the paper until it is damp, but not soaking. This helps soften the paper and wake up the seeds.
Step 3: Plant in Soil
Place the damp seed paper on top of fresh soil, then cover it with a thin layer of soil — around 1cm deep.
For best results, plant in a pot that is at least 10cm wide or directly into a sunny garden spot.
Step 4: Choose a Sunny Position
Marigolds love sunshine. Place your pot or planted envelope somewhere that receives around 6–8 hours of direct sunlight each day.
Step 5: Water Daily
Keep the soil moist while the seeds begin to grow. Water gently each day, making sure the paper and soil don’t dry out.
Step 6: Watch Them Bloom
You should start to see tiny sprouts within 14–21 days. Once your seedlings are around 10–15cm tall, you can water them as needed and continue to let them grow.
A Little Note
Every envelope is unique, and growing results can depend on sunlight, temperature, soil, and watering. With a little love and patience, your Wyldflower envelope can bloom into beautiful marigolds.
Happy planting!
